A Cute Rom-Com About A Lonely Otaku Gamer Having Friends From Misunderstandings!!

What happens when this one otaku gamer is approached by the school's idol, while buying games, and later on invites you to their game club? Of course, you get 「Gamers!」. It's really hard to explain this without using the same words, because this literally just has 3 words to explain it all: Games, Rom-Com, and Misunderstandings.

「Gamers!」 is originally a light novel, but now adapted to an Anime. So far, there has been 3 episodes. But trust me when I say this, once you watch one episode, you'll never get enough. If you're searching for a new rom-com this season, then I recommend you to watch it now. It's fine to watch it already, since it's not that type of anime that will end in some-sort of cliffhanger. Anyway, don't take my words highly, just see it for yourself.

[Genres] Comedy, Romance, School, Slice of Life
This is a story that revolves around certain students and one hobby. Amano Keita is our lonely protagonist who has a passion for gaming and is friends with Uehara Tasuku, who is secretly a fellow gamer and is someone who believes his life is perfect. We also have Karen Tendou, the club president of the video games club and Chiaki Hoshinomori, who constantly bickers with Keita. This is a story filled with a non-stop sequence of comedy scenes and misunderstandings. Our chaotic romantic comedy now begins!

1. Amano Keita

He's the protagonist of the story, and the middle man of all the misunderstandings. Just so you know, he is the type of person that could end the world. Honestly, if you get invited by the cutest girl in your school, would you accept or decline? In Amano's case, he would use very convincing words, but then he'll decline in the end. That's the character he is.

2. Tendou Karen

She's the character who you'll pity throughout the series. An idol highly praised by many, in reality she's just another gamer of the gamer's club. She became too attached to Amano after observing he's also a gamer, and later on fell in love, despite being a victim from the misunderstandings surrounding Amano. Poor Tendou... Not only were you rejected, you also misunderstand things too much.

3. Uehara Tasuku

The ex-geek otaku, who then decided to become a riajuu for once. In the start of the story, Uehara hates Amano because of how it reminds him of his past. As the story continues, they become friends after nearly killed by Amano. He does have his own girlfriend, Aguri, but so far in the anime it started having a misunderstanding with seaweed girl. He's also a crane machine god.

4. Hishinomori Chiaki

A girl that shares the same tastes as Amano and same circumstances as him. Originally, she has long hair and seaweed-like bangs, but when Uehara suggested to cut her bangs, she became this beautiful cute person that will make you say "Who are you?". Though they do share tastes, Chiaki and Amano argue about what's making games good: Moe or Plot/Gameplay.

5. Aguri

Although she's small, at least she has her own boyfriend who definitely, probably, maybe, not really, I think loves her. She goes back way before highschool when she fell in love with him, back in Uehara's dark ages. Before she looks more of a nerdy girl with eyeglasses and black hair, but now she's more of a gal. Nothing much to say to her, except for her confession to him, which is one of the most hilarious confessions ever. Took me five minutes before I got over it.

[My Review] ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
It's amazing, honestly. I've been finding for a good anime to watch this season, and I thought this would be the worse season this year. But I take that back, I've found 「Gamers!」 which is so good! The characters are just so good that misunderstandings are everywhere. You thought the situation was serious, no! Even when it is, you'll still laugh from it real hard. I'm still planning to read the LN, so who knows? Also don't skip the OPenings! It's one of the best opening out there!!!!

[Heads Up]
Besides from typical rom-com, you can also ship Uehara and Amano. It's like every single character is being shipped to Uehara tbh. To think that that masterpiece was made into an anime, I'm glad to be alive still!

So I think that's all for now. I hope you guys give it a try, please give it a try! Though it's just 3 episodes, the laughter you'll get is similar to watching a normal rom-com with 12 episodes. And also, as for the fiction that I'll be writing, maybe this weekend I'll post it. Thanks for reading~
